De Schaduw van de Ramp - 15 Jaar na 9/11 plot

Documentary about the lasting scars left by the iconic attack in the heart of America. Even 15 years later, the impact is still not fully established. Roel van Dalen looks back with five Dutch New Yorkers on this fatal day and the years after. They have all experienced the disaster first hand. Jurriaan Veth, manager of the lookout point on the 107th floor of one of the Twin Towers, survives the disaster by accident. Chloé van Waeyenberge, who works at the Belgian consulate, sees the first plane just above her head before it crashes into the North Tower. Photographer René Clement tries to get close to the crash site, the later Ground Zero, from which everyone is fleeing. Journalist David Hammelburg is working hard to avoid feeling the horror and emotions. Consul-general Bob Hiensch is trying to trace thousands of Dutch people, while telephone traffic in New York has been paralyzed. The Shadow of the Disaster follows the main characters on the same route they took on September 11, 2001.
