De Romantische Lijn plot

With suitcases full of washcloths, bed linen and bath mats, the ladies of the Brabant linen company Walra try to sell their wares door to door. The romantic line follows two women who are initiated into 'the world of Walra' during a short training course. With the aim of achieving the predetermined turnover of NLG 10,000 within six months, the ladies are trying to obtain the status of a real 'Walra consultant'. Not an easy job, as it turns out, because one of the women is constantly standing in front of a closed door, the other is felled by back problems and, moreover, the sales techniques still need to be tinkered with. Sadly enough, it is more than a side job for the women, namely an escape from the everyday routine, loneliness or boredom.
