De Middag van 2000 plot

On May 13, 2025, it will be exactly 25 years since the Enschede neighborhood of Roombeek was wiped out by a devastating fireworks disaster. Twenty-three people died, including four firefighters, approximately one thousand were injured, and hundreds of homes were destroyed. This documentary looks back at the hours before, during, and after the disaster. People who experienced the disaster as children share their stories.
