De Kinderen van Truus plot

Truus Wijsmuller was a Dutch resistance woman who saved about ten thousand Jewish children from Austria and Germany before and during the Second World War. Her story is not well known in the Netherlands. Documentary maker Pamela Sturhoofd, together with Jessica van Tijn, made a portrait of Wijsmuller, who was born in Alkmaar. She interviewed as many of the children as possible who were taken to safe countries by the resistance woman between 1938 and 1940.
