De Kinderen van Møkum, en Ik plot

An Amsterdam group of friends who call themselves 'The Children of Møkum' once decided - literally - to claim a place for themselves in their hometown. Hot on their heels by the police and the press, they confidently move from squat to squat. But living with such a large group and the flaws of the buildings are starting to take their toll: the momentum of the protest movement seems to have passed. The filmmaker, who is disappointed with the developments in her personal documentary, decides to confront the young idealists with this.
