De Bond tegen Vloeken plot

For the first time in its hundred-year existence, a documentary has been made about the Bond against curses. De Bond is a uniquely Dutch phenomenon and has been fighting blasphemy since 1917. The number of members grows in the twentieth century to almost 30,000, mostly from orthodox Reformed regions. But around 2010 it appears that the Bond is losing support. The donor base is aging and research shows that many Dutch people have a negative association with the Bond. Respondents call the organization 'drowsy, outdated, stupid and pathetic.'
