Deep in the Swiss mountains lies the mysterious Lake Anzi. It is believed that a girl is imprisoned and that the region is cursed as a result. For twelve-year-old Laura, it's a real obsession. She feels lonely among her family and friends, who pay no attention to her interests. One day a new boy comes to the village and this shakes Laura awake.
