Das Kurze Leben des José Antonio Gutierrez plot

José Antonio Gutierrez was one of the 300,000 American soldiers sent to Iraq. A few hours after the war started, his photo went viral: he was the first American soldier killed in Iraq. José Antonio was part of a group of 32,000 so-called Green Card soldiers, migrants who are fighting in Iraq in the hope of a US passport. The moving story of a street kid from Guatemala who heads north along the Pan-American highway in the hope of a better future, only to die far from home as an American hero.
