Cusp plot
Cusp describes the formative teenage years of three friends in a Texas town where there is little to do but party and where booze, drugs and guns are standard leisure accessories. At hangouts, fast food outings and parties around a bonfire, Autumn, Brittney and Aaloni allow intimate moments in their homes and social circles to be observed. As the girls tell their stories and explore their definitions of freedom and consent, it is illustrated how they resist societal expectations and toxic masculinity, as well as how they adapt.
