Cuba, une Odyssée Africaine plot
Two-part documentary examining the Cold War from the perspective of Cuba's involvement in African revolutions. It is the story of men like Patrice Lumumba, Amilcar Cabral, Agosthino Neto and Che Guevara. Men who have become icons, mythical figures, their names are now synonymous with the word revolution. The documentary shows how these men were caught between capitalist and communist ideology and how they tried to look for a third way. A vision that emphasized the principle of national independence. From Che Guevara's military campaign to avenge Congolese Lumumba to the fall of apartheid in South Africa, at least 300,000 Cubans fought alongside African revolutionaries.
