"People always ask if we usually bluff, or always bluff. I answer: we usually win, and that's what counts." These are the words of filmmaker Peter Brown, who fought for over thirty years against whalers, seal killers and fish poachers alongside former Greenpeace founder Captain Paul Watson. In Confessions of an Eco-terrorist, he provides a humorous glimpse into the ship's galley of the crew members of Watson's 'Sea Shepherd Conservation Society', who, above all else, turn out to be accomplished media manipulators. Everything is allowed if the goal - saving sea creatures - demands it. So they're involved in the illegal cod fishery in Canada's Grand Banks and the annual traditional whale slaughter in the Danish Faroe Islands. And they provoke Native American whalers and confront a heavily armed Norwegian naval frigate that fires live ammunition. "Wherever Greenpeace is waving and shouting, we stop the environmental crooks while they are at it."
