Cine Libre plot

Cuba chose to become a Marxist-Leninist state in the late 1950s and this had a special impact on everything related to film. Suddenly, films from all over the world were showing in Cuban cinemas, instead of just American blockbusters. And Cuban graphic designers turned movie posters from commercial crowd-pleasers into creative graphic works of art. In today's Cuba, a group of contemporary Cuban comic artists tell the story of this artistic revolution in a lovingly drawn comic book.
