Chroniques d'un Iran Interdit plot
During the student uprising in Iran in the summer of 2009, the image of the girl Neda, murdered in the street, spread around the world. Since then, the country's access to the western media has been very limited. French filmmaker Manon Loizeau attempted to reconstruct the protest and spent the past two years following a group of Iranians living outside of Iran. She puzzled together an image of the so-called, intended, but failed Green Revolution, with archive material, leaked YouTube clips and amateur images of demonstrations. We see shaky footage of emotional protest rallies, harrowing interviews with refugee dissidents about their torture and unique footage of the nerve-wracking cat-and-mouse game with the regime.
