Chicagoblok - Verhalen uit de Lift plot

On the left bank of the Scheldt, 'over the water' for urban Antwerp residents, there is an apartment building that towers high above the surroundings. Known far and wide as 'the Chicago block', the apartment building is considered a better place not to go. Whoever lives here cannot afford better housing: poor Belgians and immigrants. More than 35 nationalities occupy the 26 floors. In the only place where the residents cannot avoid each other, in the elevator, Ingeborg Jansen writes down their stories.
