Chaim Soutine plot

Chaïm Soutine gained fame in the 1920s and 1930s with his expressionist portraits and paintings of dead animals and landscapes. The documentary shows the search for the essence of Soutine's sensual and passionate work. Filmmakers Murielle Levy and Valérie Firla went in search of the last contemporaries of the Jewish-Russian painter Chaïm Soutine (1894-1943), followed the artist's trail all over France and delved into the archives.
