Cédric Herrou, Delinquant Solidaire plot
One night, French olive farmer Cédric Herrou (37) sees a family crossing the road in the headlights of his car. He takes the family to his farm and offers them shelter. In the winter of 2017, Herrou was in court in Nice. He had helped migrants, especially from Sudan and Eritrea, across the Italian-French border and received them on his farm. Officially, this is called 'assistance with illegal residence', popularly referred to as 'solidarity offenders'. The Filmmakers are there when Herrou appears in court in Nice with great interest and visit him on his farm to hear his story.
