Casablanca Calling plot
In a country where more than 60% of women have never attended school, a new generation of women is working as official Muslim leaders. They are called Morchidat, or spiritual guides. Hannane, Bouchra, and Karima, three Morchidats, want to change their country from the bottom up. They have a mission: to teach an Islam based on compassion, tolerance, and equality, and to separate true teachings from prejudice, misinterpretation, and misunderstandings. They work in mosques, schools, homes, orphanages, prisons, and rural areas, supporting the education of women and girls.
