Carmen and Geoffrey plot

This documentary follows two exceptional personalities: Carmen de Lavallade and her husband Geoffrey Holder. In addition to a marriage, they also share an impressive dance career. Holder (from Trinidad) and De Lavallade (born in New Orleans) have become dance icons in New York over the past fifty years. The documentary contains archive material, including an ode by Carmen to Billie Holiday. And Geoffrey regularly reflects on his origins, being black and taking advantage of opportunities.
