Caffè Sospeso plot

"In Naples, Buenos Aires and New York, people reflect on the Neapolitan tradition of "suspended coffee" and how it changed their lives."

Ordering a caffè sospeso is a tradition in the coffee bars of Naples. When the customer, as an expression of his prosperity or generosity, orders a caffè sospeso, he pays two coffees but receives only one. The second coffee is destined for a next customer. That person can ask if there is another coffee "on hold" and drink it to the health of the first customer. In Naples, Buenos Aires and New York, people discuss the Neapolitan tradition of 'delayed coffee' and how it has changed their lives. The stories of completely different people are interwoven with this simple gesture: free coffee from a stranger.
