Brussel, Scherven van Geluk plot

The documentary shows life in full in Oud Molenbeek: haunting images of the average migrant existence and of the remaining elderly Belgians with their dreams and disillusionments. A second film avenue tells the wet dream of Brussels politicians and building promoters: a hypermodern Brussels with many high-rise buildings and offices. A third layer in the film examines the carefulness and steady energy with which people maintain their city: the football clubs, a theater maker, trade and strolling on the street, the market. The people who make the city, precisely here in Molenbeek.
