Brother Number One plot
In 1978 the New Zealand sailor Kerry Hamill, along with two colleagues, disappeared without a trace during a trip from Australia to South-East Asia. His boat appears to have been overpowered by members of the Khmer Rouge, the ultra-Maoist group that brutally gripped Cambodia between 1975 and 1979. One sailor, Canadian Stuart Glass, was immediately shot, but Kerry and Englishman John Dewhirst were taken to the infamous Tuol Sleng Prison in Phnom Penh, where they were held and tortured for months before finally being killed. In 2010, Kerry's youngest brother Rob, an Olympic rower, gets the rare opportunity to testify in the Cambodia Tribunal. 31 years later, five main culprits in the largest, 'forgotten' genocide of the twentieth century are finally brought to justice...
