Brieven aan Zohra plot

During the infamous Rivonia trial in 1964, eight opponents of the apartheid regime were sentenced to death. Nelson Mandela was the most famous of them. Ahmed Kathrada, a young, idealistic Indian, the most unknown. The death penalty was commuted to life and the convicts were transferred to Robben Island. Here the life story of Ahmed Kathrada took place for the next 26 years. During that time he wrote almost a thousand letters to relatives and friends. Especially to his cousin Zohra, his main 'window to the outside world'.
