Boyamba Belgique plot

Congo, 1960. King Baudouin arrives in Leopoldville to declare independence. On Wednesday 29 June, around 4:30 in the afternoon, the German photographer Robert Lebeck takes the photo of his life. A young Congolese unexpectedly robs King Baudouin's saber and thereby seals his independence. The photographer himself later went looking for this man, but he was missing. In 2009 and 2010, a small film crew toured Congo. They came across several "suspects" and some theories about the how and why of this act. After 50 years, the thief was finally found.
