Bonne Nuit Papa plot

Documentary maker Marina Kem goes in search of the history of her own father in 'Bonne Nuit Papa'. dr. Ottara Kem arrived in East Germany in 1965 after fleeing the Khmer Rouge terror regime in Cambodia. In East Germany he studies and can build a new life with his family. However, Kem never talks about his past and when he is dying, it is his wish to be buried in his native land in the Far East. For Marina Kem, this is the beginning of a long journey through her father's life. She uses witnesses, photos, letters and even Stasi reports to bring his memory to life.
