Bloot plot

The documentary Bloot deals with the essence of acting, about artistry and the human need for connection. Under the direction of Ivo van Hove, Halina Reijn, Hans Kesting, Roeland Fernhout and Barry Atsma, together with Alwin Pulinckx, created a new performance. Actors are extremely self-conscious, insecure, affective, vain and preoccupied with how they come across from morning to night. They are never real. The documentary tries to show what this does to an actor's mind. The filmmakers recorded how the actors prepared and concentrated, the doubt, the moments when they stepped out of their roles, and how they finally exposed themselves.
