Blessed Is the Match: The Life and Death of Hannah Senesh plot

Hannah Senesh is a 22-year-old Hungarian poet living safely in 1944 Palestine. She joins an organization dedicated to saving Jews in her native Hungary. Shockingly, this was the only military rescue operation for Jews during the entire Holocaust. Hannah is dropped behind enemy lines, captured, tortured and eventually executed by the Nazis. Incredibly, her mother Catherine witnessed this whole ordeal. First as Hannah's fellow inmate and later as her lawyer, she braves the bombing of Budapest in a desperate attempt to save her daughter.
