Bienvenue à Charleroi plot

The Walloon Charleroi is under demolition. The gray streets are empty and in the cafes men stare at the past over a pint rather than the future. What opportunities are still here? Who still wants to live here? Who is to blame for the decline? Sober observations of the city are given personal meaning by the brief reflections of young and old city dwellers who, however negatively often, seem attached to this working-class city in the south of Belgium.
