Best Man: 'Best Boy' and All of Us Twenty Years Later plot

Twenty years ago, Ira Wohl made the legendary film Best Boy, about his mentally handicapped (then 50-year-old) cousin Philly. In 'Best man: 'Best boy' and all of us 20 years later' Wohl visits his cousin again to see how he is doing now. Best Boy showed Philly in his struggle to become more independent from his (loving) environment: from his ailing father and overbearing mother. Eventually he ended up in a residential group with other mentally handicapped people. In Best Man, Philly still lives in a "home." His parents are now deceased. His sister Frances is now responsible for the still cheerful and lively Philly.
