Becoming Hitchcock - The Legacy of Blackmail plot

Narrated by historian, critic and filmmaker Elvis Mitchell, the documentary traces the development of Alfred Hitchcock's signature style through the making of one of his defining films, Blackmail (1929). It chronicles the birth of the "Hitchcock Touch" at a time when sound films were first emerging, and explores his signature themes of murder, suspense and blonde cool. While focusing on Blackmail, the documentary reveals how it also predicts the director's later works, from Psycho to North by Northwest, The Birds to Frenzy.
