Balthus de l'Autre Côté du Miroir plot

Balthus (1908-2001) is known for his paintings depicting teenage girls in erotic and voyeuristic poses. He uses the idea that innocence is lost once adulthood is reached. His best-known work from his first exhibition in Paris is 'La Leçon Guitare' (1934), which caused controversy for the depiction of a young girl and her teacher in a non-revealing sexual lesbian pose. The documentary features rare footage of the artist filmed in his studio, exclusive interviews with his family and close friends, photos of Henri Cartier-Bresson and never-before-seen works of art.
