Background plot

As a Syrian refugee in Germany, he follows in the footsteps of his father Sadallah, who studied in the GDR sixty years earlier. A country that no longer exists, just like the Syria of old. At the time, Sadallah came by invitation, but after the outbreak of the civil war he was no longer able to travel with his son, despite Abdulwahed's efforts.
