Bacchus plot

In Bacchus, filmmaker Roy Dames portrays three reluctant friends, each in a different stage of alcoholism. Harry wants to be the linchpin of the threesome. He patronizes Ron to take vitamin pills every day so that his excessive alcohol consumption does a little less damage, but is considerably less strict with himself. After recovering from a stomach bleed, Joop also returns to the couch with his friends. But he only drinks malt beer. The film shows that there are different forms of alcohol use and abuse. Bacchus also reflects on the causes of the alcoholism of the three main characters.
