Baby, It's You plot
Filmmaker Anne Makepeace and her husband cannot have children, so they visit a fertility clinic, as discussed in detail in “Baby, It's You”. But Makepiece also looks around and shows her two brothers and her sister who, like Makepiece, belong to the generation of baby boomers and who each try in their own way to create new families. She visits her oldest brother in Utah, a polygamist who is convinced that polygamy is the best way to have children. She also visits her youngest brother in Appalachia, who lives a secluded life on his farm among twenty goats. Her sister and sister-in-law are lesbian. They are the only ones in the family who have given birth to a child through the sperm bank.
