In southwestern Texas, elongated mountain ranges alternate with vast valleys, prairies and deserts. Filmmaker Karsten Krause explores this landscape. This piece of Earth's crust was once at the bottom of an ocean; the compressed skeletons of billions of sea creatures that lived there are now mined as limestone.
