As Time Goes By in Shanghai plot
The Peace Hotel Old Jazz Band is the oldest band in the world, with musicians ranging in age from 65 to 90. For more than thirty years, the company has performed every evening in the Old Jazz Bar, part of the Peace Hotel in the Chinese city of Shanghai. The old gentlemen have more than 11,000 performances to their name and, according to their own words, are far from done playing. Now the band is facing its greatest adventure ever: a performance at the North Sea Jazz Festival. Through the eyes of the musicians, the viewer also sees the eventful history of China during the Japanese occupation and the Chinese Cultural Revolution.
