Arranged Happiness plot

Documentary maker Daniela Creutz travels with the young Muslim Ashiq to his hometown of Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir. His father and four sisters still live there. For the third, 27-year-old Waheeda, the time has come to get married and she wants to do so according to tradition. Even though she wanted to be a successful actress and singer, she will be married off by her younger brother. The best one is chosen from three candidates through a broker: Javid becomes the groom.
