Amsel: Illustrator of the Lost Art plot

"He ruled the world of entertainment art, in a life and career all too brief."

Richard Amsel (December 1947 – November 17, 1985) was a famous American illustrator and graphic designer. He made film posters, record sleeves and magazine covers, among other things. The famous movie poster of The Sting (1973) is by him, but also that of Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). His life had many ups and downs and came to a tragic end when Amsel was 37 years old.
