In the 1980s, the hourly wages of the meat packers at the Hormel plant in Austin are cut by more than 20%, while the company just made a profit of thirty million dollars. The workers do not take it, but do not receive help from the large unions intended for this purpose. While the small trade union P-9 intervenes for them, the consequences of the workers' problems penetrate into their home situations and the relationships between them. This documentary follows the course of the various meetings and press releases, as well as news items and interviews with stakeholders on both sides of the conflict.
