Am Rande der Zeit: Männerwelten im Kaukasus plot

'The blacks' are called the Caucasus inhabitants by the Muscovites, because they are said to possess a black, mysterious soul. Stefan Tolz was the first western student at the Georgian film academy, and he now considers the Caucasus his second home. For his documentary he traveled for quite some time through this mountain area between the Black and Caspian Seas. Among other things, he visited the village of Svanetie in Georgia, which offers a shelter to criminals and where you are only safe if you enjoy the protection of one of the family clans.
