On November 9, 1989, the Berlin Wall fell. In this film, the events leading up to this historic event are reconstructed hour by hour. From interviews with the main characters of this period - Egon Krenz, Helmut Kohl, Gunther Schabowski, Hans Modrow, Walter Momper, George Bush and Mikhail Gorbachev - it gradually becomes clear that the fall of the wall is the result of a misunderstanding among East German politicians.
