Allein gegen die Stasi oder Das Teuerste Flugblatt der Welt plot

East Berlin, 1968. The Ministry of State Security, the Stasi rules the GDR with an iron fist. Rainer Schottland and Michael Müller, two students at Humboldt University in Berlin, draw inspiration from the Prague Spring and distribute thousands of typewriter-printed pamphlets questioning Marxism and repressive government. The Stasi does everything it can to apprehend the duo, but after 4 years, the investigation, which by now had cost a fortune, is stopped. The identities of the two students remained secret until 1989.
