All My Tomorrows plot
Documentary about cancer that shows that progress in medical science is mainly made thanks to the incessant curiosity and attentiveness of people. The film follows a cancer surgeon, a cell biologist, a night nurse, a pediatric oncologist and a pathologist at the University Medical Center Rotterdam. They devote themselves wholeheartedly to the puzzling disease and know that they themselves will not live to see the disease fully understood and that the means to treat it will as yet be inadequate. In addition to their scientific work, they surround their patients with care. One of the keys to answering the question of why cells divide indefinitely may be provided by the mouse, an animal that shares about four-fifths of its genes with humans.
