On the basis of archive recordings, the rise, fall and influence of the Italian fascist Benito Mussolini is outlined. In 1922 he seized power in Italy with his brownshirts militia. His fascist group became the sole party and he became sole ruler of Italy. At the same time, fascist movements arose in other European countries.
