Albino United plot

'Albino United' follows the soccer team of the same name, consisting of albinos, that plays in a Tanzanian league. Although they don't win all matches and sometimes get into a fight with an umpire who would whistle at them, they do manage to understand their plight in society. From the conversations with players it becomes clear that they don't want anything special, except for a 'normal life' and 'equal opportunities'. That this is not easy is apparent when they play an away game in a region that is life-threatening for albinos. In Tanzania, it is believed that albinos are a precious ingredient for a magical potion, which offers protection against evil spirits. For example, a macabre trade has arisen in albinos' body parts, which are sold to medicine men.
