A Süllyedö Falu plot

The Hungarian village of Medgyesbodzás is slowly sinking. Residents are puzzled. They show their propped up houses and point out cracks and holes. Jószef, a middle-aged man, tries to learn English, faltering and word for word, so that, when applying for EU aid, he can send a VHS on which he and the other residents tell their stories in a short film. Hungarian television does pay attention to their situation and devotes an item to the village.
