A River Changes Course plot
Kalyanee Mam, the cinematographer of the award-winning documentary 'The Inside Job', returns to her native Cambodia, where the countryside is suffering from the devastating effects of globalization and advancing urbanization. Filmed over a period of 2 years, the film records how the local population has to sit and watch as the jungle is cut down, the rivers are emptied and the agricultural land becomes increasingly scarce and expensive. A moving story about a country in the forced transition to an industrial economy, told with images rather than words.
