Why have we been so docile and obedient? It is one of the confrontational questions that Hasan Nuhanovic asks at the end of 'A Cry from the Grave', a reconstruction of the mass murder of more than 7000 Muslims in Srebrenica in July 1995. Using archive material, newsreel footage, memories and Short previously unaired footage, the film tries to answer these and other questions such as: how could we have allowed such a horrific genocide to take place under the eyes of the United Nations at the end of the twentieth century?
