Documentary by David Kinsella about Oksana Skorik, a 15-year-old girl who has to realize her mother's great dream in a ballet school in Perm, Russia: to become a star ballerina. For this she sacrificed her youth and tormented her body for years. But the future is uncertain: many are called, but few are chosen and the competition is fierce. Ballet is beauty and is highly regarded in Russia, but it hides a world of pain, deprivation and humiliation. Every year, 30 talents are selected from 500 candidates in the school in Perm.
