A Alma do Osso plot

The Brazilian hermit Dominguinhos da Pedra has lived alone for 41 years in the caves of the Itambé do Mato Dentro region (Minas Gerais). The wiry 71-year-old man makes a singing fire and has surrounded himself with dozens of bottles, jars and cans in which he continues to pour water, as a kind of survival ritual. The meticulous, calm way in which he organizes his day is interspersed with surreal, abstract images of green fish, ocean waves in blue light, lemon-yellow grain, reflections and streaks of light.
