The German resistance fighters did everything they could to fight Nazism, despite the extreme violence of Nazi Germany and the Gestapo. They put their own lives at risk to pass on confidential information, distribute anti-Nazi pamphlets and save Jews from deportation to the concentration camps. They were arrested, imprisoned, deported and executed. After 1945 they have fallen into oblivion, but this documentary tells the story of some of these courageous women: Libertas Schulze-Boysen, Ruth Andreas-Friedrich and Sophie Schol.
